About Late Expectations
About Thais
Thaïs Francis is an award-winning actor, writer, and fire breathing butterfly. She was born in Trinidad and Tobago, and grew up in the suburbs of Maryland where her flair for the arts was nurtured. She graduated from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University where she studied Theater. She has sung, danced and acted at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, Historic Warner Theater in Washington DC and on international stages as well. Thaïs has also written, starred in and produced an original stage play called OUTCRY--an experimental piece centered around black men in America. The play has been listed in American Theater Magazine, adopted in school curricula and performed at theaters throughout the entire US.
In addition to stage, she has written, produced and starred in films, most notably her own short film “Late Expectations”. A recipient of the “Discovery Award” from ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood, Late Expectations has screened at countless festivals across the world.
She is currently developing Late Expectations into a TV series, and creating other content that highlight the Caribbean-American experience. Thaïs enjoys siestas, cooking and vibrating on higher frequencies. When she’s not doing the aforementioned, she’s probably reading a book at the public library.
